This Thread's purpose is to unite detail enthusiasts in Seattle in one happy place. I am a mobile detailer out of Kirkland and have been detailing for 15 years. I continue to learn new things about detailing each time I do someone's car. Just when I think I know everything a customer brings something new to my attention. Any questions about detailing and tips for keeping a clean car in Seattle shall be discussed here.
Yep Lifernal is just a few hours north of seattle, and Tom and I are pretty much downtown. We need moar from the NW

Put it on my calendar! Gonna try to keep it open and see if the parents/buddies wanna take a visit up there :thumb:
Hello guys! Sorry, I wasn't around for the start of this thread. Just got back from my roadtrip. I'm up in Bellingham. Ch40tic, if you can get a ride up north a ways, I can take the rest of the way. I'd be willing to drive down an hour or so to pick you up if necessary. Send me a PM!
Just wanted to say Hi to all the Seattle area detailers. I by no means consider myself a professional, but I am trying to get better. My extent of detailing consists of mine and my wifes cars so far...99 Accord, 00 s2000 and a 2010 Subaru Outback. Are there ever any training sessions or anything like that? I have been wanting to watch some seasoned professions at work just to see what I am doing right/wrong. Anyway. Just wanted to say hi.
Hey there! Welcome to DB No local training sessions that I know of. That would be very cool. There are some really good videos floating around here from Nica or others that I found really helpful when starting out. It seems like there are alot more of us detailers out here in the NW than I thought! Edit: Just saw your join date. Whoops lol. Need moar posting
Yah, I am pretty much a lurker here. Gained a lot of information so far, reading through threads and stuff...but nothing can really top first hand experience. I just keep watching videos. I've been thinking of recording myself next time so that people can give me tips and critique my work.
Do it. I've been looking for someone to tell me where I can improve:thumb:. I'll even buy you lunch:headbang:
Off topic: but to all you Seattle locals - is there a body shop that you'd reccomend? I'm looking to get a new bumper installed/painted, and some springs installed. I already have a shop in mind but thought I'd see what else is out there and get some more quotes. Don't mind travelling a little.
Queen City Auto Rebuild in Redmond is the only body shop I trust for superb work. I have seen their results on Jaguar, Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, etc. I don't mean to disparage other shops, I just have had excellent work done by QC. Others in our BMW club have recommended Haury's in Seattle.
Off topic but I saw your M the other day on the road, it was looking good! Waved but I was in my Mom's 850GLT and didn't really expect you to notice . Was at the church leaving Medina.
