hey guys what kind of dressing or if any dressing would u use on motorbike tires. I dont know if i should even put any on but i want them to look glossy black like the rest of the paint i just spend hours correcting??
I wouldn't bother putting any dressing on. Well, you could, just not on the tread obviously...but the sidewall on motorcycle tires is pretty small I don't know that it's make a difference.
Like Flash Gordon said..Never, never put tire dressing on a bike!! Remember you are leaning over and the contact patch rotates outward as you lean the tire over....get into a treated area and you'll go down faster than a prom date!
Since your question was answered regarding he tire dressing I would also like to throw out there that you shouldn't put anything on the seats either that would make it slick.
I know many people who use dressing on bikes just a very lite coat on seats an tires. not the sloppy joe look that lot do that is when the danger comes from.
I highly wouldn't advise a light coat either. Light coat/heavy coat it doesn't matter. It is extremely dangerous to apply anything that adds slickness to either surface of a motorcycle. IIRC, some dressings that are actually dyes contains hardeners that will also jeopardize the safety of the motorcyclist.
