This was the second X5 this month with more coming. This one came up from Maryland and resides on a farm, and has 111k on it..... We did 2 X's prior to their east coast meet where I believe 30 x5's and 50 owners got together for a day of fun and eating! Anyway we did this one a few years back and I really didn't know what to expect....anyway take a look at the plan of attack (it was pretty much identical to the 4.6 we did the day before) What's first....we sprayed the wheels down with P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel, next the wheel wells were sprayed with P21S Total Autowash as well the tires where sprayed as well. Bug and tar were presoaked as well with P21S Total Autowash...you get the picture. We then went on to fill the foam canon with Adam's All Purpose Cleaner knocking out any previous wax, bug and tar and anything else not taken care of by the P21S. The X was rinsed and with the water still on the X we moved on to claying the car, including windows. After claying we moved on to access the condition of the paint. I moved on to using Menzerna Super Intensive Polish followed by Menzerna PO85RD to finish off the paint correction. The window trim was polished out using Menzerna PO85RD. As a last step I used Swissvax Blau Weiss for the first time and I have to say it made the car pop very nicely. :wow: Interior was just vacuumed. The final touches: The plastic trim was taken care of with Black Wow. Windows were cleaned with Lusso Glass Polish. Tires where dressed with Swissvax Pneu. Before After Polish Before 50/50 of the hood after SIP and 85RD The Tape Cleaning up the trim/Dressed with Black Wow I decided to polish the windows everyone but the windshield with Einszett Metallic and the Porter Cable (1st time I have used it in a year) Swissvax Pneu 50/50 Swissvax Blau Weiss After shots Enjoy I did! Wow Phil! That X5 looks great! Nothing beats a clean, corrected black car! What's the actual advantage of the SV Blau Weiss over the other SV waxes when used on a BMW. Does it bond to the paint better or something?
