Detailer's Domain: BMW 1M - New Car Prep

BMW 1M -mmmm mmmm good!

This is more of a photo shoot than a full out write up.

The car was in great shape but the customer wanted to insure it had a great start in life early. We wash, clayed, polished and used Wolf's Body Wrap as a last step.

What was done -
Exterior

- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down
- Wheel wells were cleaned up
- Pre Washed with W99
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Clayed
- Dried
- Tires dressed
- Masking
- 1 Step Menzerna Super Finish
- Inspection with Fenix,Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Last Step – Wolf's Body Wrap
- Wheel wells were cleaned and dressed
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned
- Windows were clayed, cleaned, and sealed

That is one beautiful little beast you detailed there Phil, must have been an absolute pleasure to work on. If only they could bring its nemisis the RS3 over here to party.

 

I would pick up the RS3 for sure.

 

In a drag race the RS3 crushed the 1M

 

The color choice is sick. I love metallic orange/reds.

I agree it's a little weird shaped but IMO the X6 is the worst shaped BMW currently..

I don't love the shape but it beats the X6 or the Z3 coupe for looks. If I was forced to choose (I wish) between a 1M or a RS3 for my primary vehicle I'd definitely pick the Audi but if it was one out of half a dozen cars I can easily see opting for the little Bimmer.
