Last week I received a call from a customer regarding some tar/paint on his wife's new Audi Q5. I didn't really know what to expect.
When they drove by to get a quote I realized this was going to take some time to clean up.

Well it definitely took some time.

    Take a look.

    This includes:

    - Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
    - Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down
    - Wheel wells were cleaned up
    - Pre Washed with W99
    - Decon
    - Wash down and rinsed
    - Door jambs were cleaned up
    - Clayed
    - Dried
    - Tires dressed
    - Last Step – 1Z einszett Glanz
    - Wheel wells were cleaned and dressed
    - Rubber and Plastics Treated
    - Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
    - Exhaust tips cleaned
    - Windows were clayed, cleaned, and sealed - Wolf's Glass Guard

    Interior
    - Vac
    - Remove denim transfer on the seats
    - Clean leather/Condition leather
    - Glass

    Tar/Paint Removal
    - Meg's Body Solvent
    - Stoner's Tarminator
    - 3M Adhesive Remover

    Before shots -
Road tar and paint on the driver's side fender, doors, bumpers, side skirts, wheel well covers (complete left side)
We had to use a combination of Meg's Body Solvent, Stoner's Tarminator, and 3M Adhesive Remover. (16 oz of Body Solvent, 1 Can of Tarminator, 3 cans of 3M Adhesive Remover)
Here some shots of what we were working with.

I'm impressed with the removal of the paint and tar on the car. That was nasty, the front area got the worst of it since that is the first point of contact as you drive forward and the car is FWD.

    Excellent result Phil!

Dude, are there tar pits in NJ? I would be pissed as hell if I pick up that much tar on my car. Excellent job in cleaning that up. Love the way white looks when cleaned, polished and LSP to perfection. Nice job as usual!

The tar removal is impressive, but I really like the tire dressing here. Was that really the 1Z stuff?

Great work as always! I definitely need some tar removal stuff, just unsure of what to actually buy. (TarX, Tarminator, or Body Solvent)
