Nice job Phil! The black looks awesome! Which coating do you prefer? CQuartz or Opti-coat?

I've used all 4 now - Nano, Aquartz, Cquartz, and Opti Coat.

I like them all they all have good points and bad points.

I just did Aquartz on a 2001 TT in black, not too bad and Aquartz on an IS250 that looked great!

Nanolex on the wife's Q7 and it looks great!
Opti Coat on a ton of wheels and a car I just sold, worked great!

I'm just waiting to see how they hold up.

I'll be doing my daily hopefully this weekend.

also, I thought nanolex wasn't able to be brought into the u.s., or at least they don't sell it in the u.s yet?

Here is my 2 cents coatings are great on new cars.
Light polish, and a good wipe down with Top Inspection.

On older cars you have to get it as close to perfect as you can, then strip anything off the paint to ensure proper application of the treatment.

The Q5 here took a beating over the winter and there were some deep scratches we could not remove.

We just did a 10 year old TT and we could not remove everything but the customer was very pleased with the results.

The coatings are definitely more forgiving on silver, light metallic paint, and whites.

Looks Awesome!! What's the difference between these "coatings" and the synthetic sealants?

the coatings will be more durable. you are pretty much adding clear to your paint.

Nice work Phil, I have not yet tried SIP on a green Uber pad but it looks like you got some great results. Will have to try that...
