has anyone used this product before? Its much cheaper than other mitts and im wondering if it is as good as other mitts that are twice the price.

There's a bunch of reviews on it. One person had said the hairs fell off after the fifth wash.

Almost any north american made sheepskin mitt will be toast after one season ( 4-6 months ) if it lasts that long. Thats primarily the reason I started carrying the Raceglaze mitts. The build quality is far superior to anything made here. I have two mitts I've been using for almost a year washing sometimes 3 or 4 cars a day and you can't tell them from new ones. You get what you pay for.

I have bought 5 of the mits with no thumbs. Three of them within a wash started to shed bad and never stopped. The other two lasted less then the summer and were ripping apart.

you haven't seen ours yet, we have some detailers that still have theirs after 300 plus washes with no problems. The Uber Wool Wash Mitt

I've been using the DI no-thumb sheepskin mitt at least twice a week for 16 months with no issues. It's as good as any I've used. It's gone through the washing machine a few times with no loss of wool that I can see. The leather hanging loop recently pulled out of one end  Like every other natural skin mitt I've used the inside material hardens up when it dries. A quick dip and it returns to it's former softness.

I noticed in the reviews the guy that mention losing wool reviewed the mitt with the thumb. Maybe they got a bad batch of thumbs. :thumb: I personally prefer no-thumb mitts so if I pick up some grit down low I can flip the clean side around my wrist and keep going.

I've also got a couple of Cobra dreadlock MF mitts that I use with ONR or vehicles with lots of nooks and crannies. They load up more and don't rinse as clean without machine washing. The sheepskin seems to get rid of all contaminents and debris with a quick dip in the rinse bucket. It's my favorite mitt. YMMV.

The uber mitt certainly is good.

But thats why yours is $25, and not $10.

One of my mitts only lasted a month? By all means send it back and I'll replace it.

I have 2 of the DI mitts and i do get some loss if wool but its minimal. I just wash them with my MF towels and some CG Microfiber Restore and they come out nice and soft. looking into getting something else to experiment with, but so far no major problems

no thumbs, i dont see the use of the thumb lol

soak in gasoline and burn it.

jk :giggle: i havent dropped mine since i put my hand in it, but if i did i would hit it with a power washer to get the pebbles out and then i would wash like normal. then inspect to make sure there are no contaminants.

Last June? Last was more than likely the ones we got out of the USA which we replaced with the RG ones. What was the name on the order and I'll look it up.

Its either under Sean Tompkins, or Premier Detailing Ken. Just looked it up, it says order number 153.
