    BrendanS Welcome to Detailing

I detailed this Audi Q5 S-Line that had only 6000km on it. It was in great condition, claying it barely took out any contaminates. Unfortunately it had some pretty bad water spots on the glass and the pillars were pretty swirled. But other than it looked great with two coats of Menzerna Powerlock on it. Enjoy the pics!

WOW Brendan! You're cranking out cars like there's no tomorrow! I'm sure you're having fun detailing all these cars!!!

That's a cool looking car! I've never seen them with the S4 wheels... The car looks squeaky clean! The shine is just insane! Great job as always sir! *hats off*

    Thanks!
Thanks! Yeah it definitely was fine but a lot of work and time away from friends. Being a 17yr old I still want to enjoy my summer so I took a little break for the past two days. But I have two cars coming up and then another break lol. Detailing really tires you out though! The wheels are actually S-Line wheels for the Q5, they're very similar to the S4 rims though.

Yeah I agree that detailing tires you out completely. I can't imagine doing one car a day back to back. I really have a lot of respect for the guys who do this professionally.

Those rims look familiar because it was on Phil's sonax demonstration.

Again great job sir!! :applause: :worship2:

another great detail. Photo skills just keep getting better. The wetness and the reflection off the paint is looking real good. Makes me want to go out and get a Q5 now!

Thanks! Luckily these wheels were pretty easy to get to the barrels and they weren't caked in brake dust so they were easy to clean and seal.
Thanks! Audis are very well built cars. The GI Signature Tire Gloss is great, my favourite tire dressing. But I find 303 very similar so after I run out of the GI Tire Gloss I'll be using 303.
    Thanks Ken!
Thanks! Powerlock is amazing so far, incredibly slick and easy to use. I applied it partially in the sun and it still came off with ease.

i bet. I have heard many good things about it but haven't taken the plunge yet. You ever get to test durability?

  14. BrendanS

    BrendanS Welcome to Detailing

I haven't tested durability but I've read 3-4 months. The only thing I don't like about Powerlock is the beading is not the best. I know that it's a sealant but I guess coming from Collinite 845 it's hard to compete. But I love topping it with Autoglym HD Wax, then the beading is superb along with the looks.

yeah i was actually just going to suggest that to you. Topping a sealant with a wax is great. How long do you wait from your application of Powerlock before you apply a nice coat of wax?

    BrendanS Welcome to Detailing

For both the Ivory Pearl G35 Detail (HERE) and the Grey GTR detail (HERE) I waited 12 hours atleast to let the powerlock fully cure. I talked to Ken about applying two coats of Powerlock and he said around 1hr after you can layer. That is what I did on this and the results were great.
