    JoeyV Welcome to Detailing

Friday afternoon I received a call from Toyota to see if I was available to help them out. Over the weekend, they were filming a promotional video for the new 2013 Scion FR-S, and they wanted it to look sexy and "wet." Since my booked client rescheduled, I was free and gladly accepted the job. Being pressed for time and having only a 1 hour window, I had Kevin come along to give me a hand.

    Products Used:

    Washing
    Sunlight Soap
    AutoGlym Custom Wheel Cleaner
    Various bushes
    Elegance Wash Sponge

    Protection
    Zymol Glasur
    Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant
    AutoGlym Instant Tyre Dressing
    AutoGlym Vinyl and Rubber

Here is what it looked like when we arrived.

Kevin was on vacuum duty, while I took charge of wiping down and protecting the dash and instrument panels (sorry no pics of me).

Then I moved on to washing the wheels.

Time for foam, and lots of it!

Once it was all clean, I checked the paint to see if it needed claying, but being a brand new car, it had virtually no contamination, so we moved onto waxing right away. Letting the Glasur cure. ( I know the instructions say to wipe on and wipe off, but I wanted to try letting it haze over to see the effect. I will stick to WOWO for next time as it was not worth the extra elbow grease.)

During the time the Glasur cured, I dressed the wheels and tires.

Then the wax was buffed off, and this was the result.

A small crowd gathered to look at the car and take pictures.

After another 15 minutes, I gave it another final wipe down.

And then, it was brought into the show room where the filming would take place.

So, as you can see, this was not the most extensive job, but it was fun none the less.

As always, thanks for viewing and Happy Detailing!

I was going to say "There went a whole tub of wax" but you have since cleared that up. Good job for being pressed on time!
