Here is a 2006 Mercedes-Benz E350 4Mtatic, white with a light tan interior. I have done 2 other MB's for the owner this year, and when he got this one, I told him I really wanted to do it, and already knew what I wanted to use as an LSP as soon as I saw it. This thing was filthy. Really filthy. In fact, I had to clean the wheels twice, and I still couldn't get them up to my standards. Need a better wheel brush  It was rainy and cold, so I washed the wheels/tires/wells, and the engine outside. Then rinsed the car down the best I could get it. I was informed by the owner, that he wanted the car back by 5 P.M. Great So I had only 7 hours to complete the job. Given the short time frame, no polishing was carried out on this one, as well as no pressure washer used, do to time and weather conditions. Hopefully I will get this car back in the spring. damn i was hoping to see your tire shine mixture in this thread! looks like a nice job cleaning up a really dirty car. good stuff, roger!
Great work on a Benz, Roger! The more I see these German cars, the more I love them! Question, what durability do you usually manage to get from a single coat of Werkstatt AJT???
I'm new to detailing and don't do it for profit/income, but I can't help but be curious how much you charged for all the great and thorough work you did. If it's politically incorrect to ask priceing for services rendered around here then please pardon my ignorance and know that I intend no disrespect or offense.
I think probably only 2 months maybe. I did clean the paint pretty well, and did a Prep-All wipedown so the AJT had a squeaky clean surface to bond to. I might put another coat on it next month.
Looks great Roger! Dare I say that $15 bottle of AJT looks as good as the $150 tub of glacier? Maaaybee....
Great work Roger ... it turned out great considering the short time. This MBZ reminds me of a lady that works at my plant. She has one just like this one and never cleans the wheels. I approached her after seeing a failed attempt to clean the wheels. I mentioned that I could help her clean them and she was like " ... it's ok, I get them clean with baby wipes even though it takes me forever" :yikes:
Looks great, Roger! Nice interior work in particular. That thing was nasty! Now, tell JL how important a proper interior detail is.
I see. Thanks. I want something a bit more durable for the upcoming winter. Klasse twins are on my mind...topped with Collinite 476S, and Autoglym HD maybe...hmmmmmm....
