Detailed these two engine bays tonight. Started at 5:30 and finished at around 8:30. Not to bad, this was just strictly engine bay and no exterior. I think they turned out really well. Definitely better than before. The red car is a twin turbo so it was a pain in the ass working on it. Super tight and the engine was still really hot. The black one wasn't much better, had these little white specs that were a pain to take out. Products Used: -Majestic Solution Super Green Stuff -Finish Kare 108 Poly Protectant -Isopropyl Alcohol -Costco MFs -Meguiars Brush -Michael's Brush -Microfiber Applicator Pad Before: Afters: Second Car Befores: White pain the ass specs! Glue residue, did the best I could. Soaked it in APC and tried soaking it Isopropyl Alcohol...I only got a bit off Cleaned but no protectant After FK108 I did the best I could with both engine bays, the red one was extremely hard to get at. But I think both came out noticeably well. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking! Brendan
Your work looks fantastic :applause: However, who ever painted this car forgot to paint the belly of the bonet :duh:
Awesome job !!!!!! :applause::applause::applause:. Trust me the 300zx engine is not a fun engine to detail...Trust me I know
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ :yikes: Wow Pat, looks Sweet. How about some more pics of the rest of her :chips:
Honestly that would be a job I would turn down. The car is in such bad condition that it's almost not worth it for me. Thanks! :gasp::gasp::gasp::gasp::gasp: MOAR PICS!
Wow grat job on those engine bays. I know they are not the easiest thing to work on since they packed those engines in there so tightly. But spill the beans on the Cove in the background, especially which fork is that. A Marzochi? I am building up a RMX and am looking for a 170+ fork
Not to hijack this thread but here are some more pics of my 300zx as requested. ZDriver.com - Pats300zx's vBGarage
I like that thing you made to have your bike nicely stay put in the middle of your garage, very cool!
