Does anyone know how Detail Image is able to send HTML e-mails like they do to advertise their daily specials? I'm looking to create a e-mail similar to that for my business and am having trouble figuring it all out. Is it basically a web page or is there a certain program you have to use to build it? Any help would be really greatly appreciated. Thanks Folks.
There are MANY programs that do this. We use Sendblaster. Its a email marketing program that will send hundreds or thousands of email in one shot to a list of people.
You have to use either a stand alone or web based email marketing application. Really depends on the needs of your business and how much you are willing to spend. I've been doing email marketing for a living for the last 9 years and personally, would never opt for a stand alone application like Sendblaster for a number of different reasons. Check something like iContact - they are reasonably priced. Cheers!
so i have to use a third party software? i can't create something in dreamweaver or PhotoShop and email it some how?

really depends on what you are trying to send and to whom it will be going out to. There were some links posted above, read through them. Whatever you do though, do not rely on auto HTML code generators - either code it yourself or ask someone to do it for you (should be fairly cheap, unless you have something really tricky in there... plus once you have template, you can edit it yourself for future emails).
Thanks Ankeet i'll look into that. As you mentioned once i get a template going editing it will be easy. I'm really not looking for anything hardcore. Just looking to send out a HTML e-mail to some places as i expand my services in hopes to get maybe a couple of accounts. Some A/C places, Plumbing places who just need to have a clean vehicle for a great appearance. Basically for potential new customers who might not know who i am . . . . . . most people who get e-mails from people they don't know will generally not download any attachments and that is where i feel the HTML e-mail will shine. Once the e-mail is opened up everything will be professional looking and on display like a mini single page site rather then just a plain e-mail with text only.
