Hey guys, I need to place an order to replenish supplies. I'm going to go with Meguiars APC+ D103. I've had good luck using that already at 10:1 and 4:1 for various purposes. I've heard great things about Optimum PC but it's 2.5 times more expensive for 1 gallon.

Main question: Will Meguiars Super Degreaser really do a better job than APC for items such as engine bays?

I don't want to buy an item if I can get away without it.

    Thanks for any replies.

I'm sure you will be ok using just the APC on engines. For times where there's an engine that has been kept in poor condition for a long time Super Degreaser would probley get the job done faster with less scrubbing.

Sure it's more expensive, but OPT is safe for paint and leather. I would use a normal APC for engines and wheel wells, and Powerclean for everything else.

Exactly. Although our new APC is great for interior, I reserve its use for exterior stuff and use an interior specific product inside for the most part.

Meguiar's APC+ is safe for both paint and leather; Meguiar's Super Degreaser is not.

Another alternative is Majestic Solutions Tidal Wave, I use it 1:1 on engines and 10:1 on nasty interiors and it's 14-15 bucks a gallon.

That is what Meguiar's sais, but their green detailer line APC dried up my recaros and hands pretty bad.

Thanks for the replies. I still up in the air on my decision but I'm leaning towards powerclean that way I can make a decision next time based on experience and numbers($).

    Thanks
