After stripping the paint the true condition of the paint was more visible. Obviously the swirls were apparent prior to stripping the paint but it became obvious that the previous detailer used fillers as much more inclusions came to the surface.

Swirls; marring; holograms, scratches - this paint work had it all!

Jason..great job there!! I've always wondered about the lower grille on those..was washing it sufficient or did you need to polish/clean it somehow. I always wondered how I'd do the grille. Your pics are very well done as well.:picture:

Thanks Sal.... Yes, the CTS-V is quite the machine.. and it was a manual.. that right there increases the status of the owner in my book!!

Damn how did I miss this one. Great job as usual Jason. Car looks great and i bet it looked even better in the sun. By the way the poor Accord is just taking a beating during your details lately. Its going to need some TLC from Detroit's best detailer before long!

Wow that is some incredible work! If i may ask a couple of questions....

What kind of sprayer is the SC Grime destroyer coming out of?

Did you apply the 501 by hand to the chrome trim, reason i ask is because i will be detailing my ride this weekend and was going to try 501 on my chrome bumpers and couldnt decide between machine/by hand...once again great job im sure you have that customer for life now!

I've done it both ways with success. If the areas are really tight I usually do by hand but otherwise I apply by machine.

    Thanks Phil!!

    Thanks Pat!

    Piet.. Thanks Bro

    Thank you Phil

    Thanks JL..

YOU HAVE NO IDEA.. I am on vacation and was up north at the Ausable RIver since Sunday, I rented a cabin and there are no paved roads where my cabin was.. the accord is COVERED in mud inside and out,.. it hates me right now.. my son even said "I bet the 1st thing you are going to do when we get home is give your car the royal treatment".. ha ha, he knows me pretty well.

It's killing me right now having it this dirty but we are at a hotel right now staying the night and wont be done with our vacation until Sunday.. next weekend me and the accord will be spending some time together!

The grime destroyer is coming out of a pesticide sprayer from home depot

And like JL said you can use the 5o1 by hand or machine.. if it's real chrome that is... if it's faux chrome I only apply by hand.
