After several months of looking I finally came to the decision to change my vehicle color as well as vehicle. My Little Detailer is happy to see a red vehicle in the driveway but has lamented daily of the demise of the Black Truck. so here is the introduction of the the new ride for 2008.

It is a 2008 Chevrolet(I have driven and owned a chevy since 1970) HHR SS Victory Red. It has a turbo'd 2.0 engine(is that good...) a high performance suspension(what ever that means....:shead:) and Polished Forged Chrome OEM wheels(Is this wheel clear coated? How do I take care of this wheel?)

Here is a picture strait from the dealer and after a slight down pour of Texas rain. I think it is awfully red.

It is a fun little car with a lot of head room and leg room for me. Although the cabin area is dramatically smaller the Little Detailer and I still have room for two fishing poles, chairs for bank fishing, and our towels for swimming so we do not feel impinged as far as roominess is concerned.

They say that the HHR will get better mileage than the old Black truck as well. I must confess that I will not be using the first tank of gas to measure my mileage because I have been breaking the tires loose at every stop.:yikes: It certainly is not scary power but it skips right down the round somehow managing to be fun all at the same time.

Nice purchase! I'm not a bowtie fan, but I like the HHR SS. Remember to break-in the engine for the first 500 miles (opinions on this vary) by varying engine load, rpms, speed...i.e., don't cruise at the same rpm for extended periods of time.

Congrats on the purchase. Your wheels should get sealed with a sealant b/c they will be clear coated. Looks nice!

After I talked with you I clayed the hood and roof. When I got done with those areas i knew I had to shorten my time since I was already beginning to feel my strength wain. So I used ZPC on the hood and roof. Did the rest of the car with Z5Pro x2. Will maintain with Z6 and Z8.

Oh, I told you when I spoke with you that I was going on a cruise that had a casino so any money I have before the cruise is money not spent at the casino while on the cruise. I may not have any money left. But yes I do need to have what we talked about completed. Correction although minor would take more work than time but to get to that point may be tricky for me since the more physical the work the quicker I tire(is this called laziness?).

Let's think August some time in the first two weeks as a tenative schedule. I will call you when I return from the casino ...I mean the cruise and let you know.

Thanks for the compliments from everyone!!

Congrats on the new car! That is indeed very red, but when done right, just as rewarding as black!

That is one massive front end, hahaha!
