I injured my wrist for months while using my makita and have only recovered recently. With the 'kevin brown method rave' circulating around, i think is time to invest in a DA..I am looking at Flex 3401, Meg G220 and makita B06040. PC will be my last option because of the availability and voltage in my country. Any advice?

If its weight that is an issue, I would consider a Flex 3403 before a DA. I have been using mine for about a week, and although it has a tougher time with compounding than a Makita, it will easily correct a car to 85 or 90%. The best thing is that the body is as slim as a PC and its ridiculously light. I believe its 2 lbs lighter than a Makita.

Apart from weight, actually i am looking for something easier to do finishing. Although many have said it is achievable with a rotary, to be honest, i am no where at that level yet. I am very inconsistent with finishing with the rotary. Sometimes creating hologram then got to spend additional time eliminate it. If DA is easier to achieve LSP ready, think it should be a good tools to have in my arsenal.

I'm not sure what speed, pads or product you are using for finishing, but Menz 106FA, PO85rd or 3M Ultrafina on a black LC CCS pad at 1000-1200 rpm will not leave holograms. The polishes are very fine and the pad has no mechanical cut to speak of. Just make sure you are working the polish until it has broken down completely-it goes clear.

Flex is the way to go. Fantastic machine, you can bog it down and it keeps going!!!

Well I only used the Flex DA once and for my taste it still vibrated to much, if your looking to minimize vibration then Cyclo is the way to go...the Cyclo is a great tool, just takes a bit to get used to it, specially the size...but if you are to compare the PC to the Flex DA by far the Flex DA is the better choice...from the vibrations point of view that is...just my :2cents:
