I want to say that this car is JACKED UP!!! They were taking it to a local "detailer" and he's got a rep for screwing up people's vehicles. This detail was not meant for full correction, in fact I took off a minor layer to only reveal deeper damage, which I showed to the customer. I pulled out the brinkman to show the extent of the damage and she was pissed! The customer was so happy with the outcome I did, she tipped me an extra $120!! Oh yeah, to make it more difficult, the detail was done at a basically wreck yard and there was dust galore!!! Wheels/Tires/Wells: Tires rinsed, sprayed down with Awesome APC, agitated with black schmitt; then dressed with D2G dressing Wheels rinsed, S100 polishing soap, rinsed and then wiped down with D2G QD Wells rinsed, Awesome APC, schmitt then dressed with AA tire foam Exterior Wash: Rinsed Front end, windshield and lower panels got Awesome APC Foamed w/mixture of CG wash and gloss with a capful of ONR Grit guard bucket has D2G soap, boar hair brush and a new thing i got from wal-mart Rinsed, pulled in building to dry... however by the time I back my trailer up... there was dust settling on the paint. So I had to put some ONR in a spray bottle and wash the truck AGAIN!!! Interior: Vac Meg's APC wipe down Leather cleaned CG leather cleaner+ and meg's interior brush Interior treated with PB natural look Leather got RL leather conditioner re-vac CG odor neutralizer Paint Work: Poli-Seal via Flex w/CG white pad... sp 5.5 CG Wet Mirror Finish via Flex w/black CCS pad QD wipe down Other: Running boards to AA tire foam, then wiped down Glass cleaned SIG via Cobra WW Just to show you the kinda damage I'm talking about:
Damn, you got a $120 tip??? NOTHING TO SCOFF AT!!! Great work as usual, but I know you could have upsold her to a FULL DETAIL!!!
thanks bro Yeah it blew me away too... for me to get that thing up to par, I would of charged her upwards of $600. And she doesn't care all that much, she trades her cars in every 2 yrs. But from now on, I will be the only one touching the car. I sold myself first, then my work
Nice job bro, now I see what you were talking about! Good job on it and who better to handle "Dust Galore" than "Dust2Glory" :applause2:. Just think what that black could look like with a full correction and some Rubbish Boys. Oh and by the way if you get some Rubbish Boys I bet the wife hates you more than me :!!!
Looks like someone buffed it with a dry wool pad, nice work on bringing it back. Like wolf said time to start thinking about a rotary, then she would off tipped you 500.00.:thumb:
I'm gonna get a quote and try to convince my wife to let me use some Income tax money to buy some "supplies" tehe tehe All I can say is "rubbish boys" here I COME!! Haha... no, nothing like that. She was old enough to be my MOM, and my wife is MUCH hotter And that is the single highest tip I've ever gotten, I got a couple of Christmas presents from customers this past X-mas round $100, but easily the highest tip I have ever gotten It's funny you said that, another guy that works there has a black dodge who said that after they got ahold of his truck is was HELL, I guessed holograms. The owner told the "detailer" to hand wax his truck, but I can guarantee they waxed it with a high speed buffer Yeah right!! You told me how much you charge, that's probably what you get for a wash-n-wax
Thats what they do at a dealership, wax the whole car then go over it with a dirty pad. I see it everyday, just glad they are not part of my dept.
oOOOHHhhhhh makes me cringe, like when someone runs their fingernails across a chalk board Pics do alot of justice!! you can't see all the paint defects that way!! LoL thanks bro.. and the tip was pretty PHAT
Dust nice turn around...You made her look new again...$120 tip that's what I'm talking about...You must have really impressed her with the job you done...:applause:
hehe talk about D2G! perfect setting rite? by the way its sad to see a car that new get that jacked up ...welp i guess thats what you and i along with other detailers are here for =) beautiful!
Thanks Spark, well she hardly even looked twice at the vehicle! But hey, if she has that much faith in me, then so be it!! NO not prefect setting.... NEVER AGAIN!!! It would of been alot better had there not been so much dust!!! but thanks for the kind words
