I know.... I agree with Dankfanatic. My freind brought me some sprinkles, i was "you paid what for this"? they were decent, but over done. Give me some homemade with frosting any day.

been reading about this, whenever i go visit friends in nyc i have to stop and grab one but they are expensive. so many people are comparing them to krispy kreme, hopefully (for investors) crumbs has learned from krispy kremes' mistakes. also saw in the article that they contract out production (dont know how long its been this way) but I would imagine quality and consistency will be tough to keep with that many stores across the country. Hey good for the founders, theyre getting paid but I can see the investors losing some money on this one

    Krispy Kreme melt down ahahahah
i say we open up a small shop at the corner of nyc and start selling breadsticks. I'm sure it'll be worth 99 million soon enough! but no i think it could go fundamentally wrong with cupcakes. the problem is police officers likes donuts more thus you see the growth of tim hortons donuts here in Canada.
    cupcakes have alternatives
    so does donuts
items without alternatives are the only way they'll go big
starbucks, there be no alternative products to coffee, unless you count coke as one

sell cereal....... i saw it on foodnetwork once, the owners were making bank. People love comfort food, simple and inexpensive. Grilled cheese resturants would be cool too.
