UPDATE on product review... did few more research and thanks to SUPERCHARGED for his response. It made me look further on the MSDS sheet and research on the ingredient... so here it is... Collinite performed well with my recent detail. It was such ease to use. Smell: definitely solvent smell but not too strong Consistency: lotion thick liquid Application: used an MF applicator and used dime size for 2x2 area. spread generously as far as you can and you will see some of the tar or any contaminants released as you apply it. Let it haze. I let it haze and took my time. You could leave it for 5 min or an hour if you are busy doing other stuff because even after an hour it was so easy to buff off. It leaves a nice smooth surface area. MF towel just glide easily. Ratings: 10 out of 10
Did you use it on clearcoated paint? Cause I read on AG that it is formulated for single stage paints only...check it out - Collinite Sapphire PreWax Cleaner #840
Spoke with Collinite people.. they said that some people complained about getting the dull color due its ingredients: diatomaceous earth which has abrasive in it to clean. It worked great on my car but I had to do further investigation on this product and it contains 33% Silica dust which is very harmful to your lungs with time when inhaled...so with that said.. thanks for noticing that.. Even if it is a good product, I wont risk using it...
Warning!!!!!! ---> Im glad that i did this review because i had good results, but the Collinite recommends it only for single stage paint because it contains diatomaceous earth which is an abrasive. Thanks to supercharged for looking it up and I had to do further investigation.. I really think its a great product but upon few research... diatomaceous earth contains 33% silica dust.. Silica dust is very harmful product just as other chemicals is harmful to you. Silica dust when inhaled for many years would cause damage to lungs.. fibrous tissue that eventually lead to pulmonary fibrosis.. Why do i know this? I'm in the health care field and remember learning it. It doesnt happened overnight but personally, I wouldnt risk it at all.. So conclusion.. use it on a single stage paint with 3M respiratory mask. Be careful if you are planning on using it...I did a review on the bottom and make sure you use it with protection
