Hey all, So this may be a dumb question but I can't find an answer for it anywhere. What should 845 look like coming out of the bottle? I just opened a bottle I ordered from DD, shook the crap out of it and I have to squeeze it out of the bottle. It is not at all liquid, more of a chunky soft paste. Any help would be appreciated! John
Keep it in a warmer environment. A quick fix would be to run the container under hot water. Shake the hell out of it, it should be a fast-running liquid, although thicker than water.
Thanks. It was in the garage which is kept around 60-70 when I am working in it. Product is stored inside as well. How warm should it be? I will have to try that out, Thanks for the info! edit: Okay just ran it under warm water....good call much better! Thanks again!
Around the neck/opening gel like substance seems to accumulate, just take your finger or something and wipe it around the opening so it falls into the bottle then shake it for 15-20 sec and it should be all good. Should be a thin-ish liquid once mixed...little bit of gel accumulation around the opening is not going to hurt anything.
If it interests you or anyone here, I saw somewhere that a collinite employee said that you can use it while its a paste, or shake it up and use it as a liquid. i actually tried applying it in its paste form and it seemed easier for me. my applicator pad didnt get saturated like usual (usually if i squeeze it, it will foam up cause of all the liquid in it)
Lol, I got 2 coats of 476 on it about a month ago. I was putting a coat on my brothers extremely nasty blazer.:shakehead: Apparently car cleanliness does not run in the family.
When I got mine it was a very thick paste and it did still work well. I thought it was suppose to be like that until I read the bottle and it says liquid. After some research here, I shook the heck out of it and even placed the bottle in a bucket of warm water and its liquid now.
it will get like that from just sitting for a day, so just get in the habit of shaking it reallllllllllly good every time you want to use it.
I walk over to the mantle and grab the bottle of 845 and shake it on almost a daily basis. The 3 tubs of Swissvax look at me as if to say, "Hey, what about us"? I tell them, I would pick you guys up too, but I am afraid I might crack your lids.. Joe D.
