I've noticed quite a few questions regarding the hardness of clears used on various makes, models and years. I don't have the experience, but I was thinking maybe it would be very helpful if some of our more seasoned veterans could post up some lists based on their experiences and rate the hardness 0-10, or rate them on a scale from softest to hardest compared to some of the known hard and soft clears.

Newer Porsche 911's, Boxsters and Caymans have paint on the soft side. The Porsche Cayenne though has paint on the hard side. Early model Porsche's have harder paint (single stage).

Audi, at least the later models have hard clears.

The few Vettes I have done, have a clear on the hard side.

Ferrari has a clear in the medium range.

Mercedes, newer models have the hard clear as far as I know.

    BMW on the hard side.

Aston Martin seems to be on the softer side.

That's it for me right now.
