how do you clean wool pads after a detail? i have the following pads:

Meguiar's Solo 7" Wool Heavy Cutting Pad
Meguiar's Solo 7" Wool Light Cutting Pad

these are the pad cleaners I have:

XMT Polishing Pad Cleaner by Pinnacle For your dual action or rotary polisher.
DP Polishing Pad Rejuvenator was created to provide detailers with a fast and effective way to clean pads without soapy residue or foamy degreasers.

I also have a spur and a pad brush as well. Just want to be sure they are clean before putting them away and using them on aother detail.

Get them wet 1st, then just hit it with APC and a Brush, rinse good and Hang out to dry.

I use XMT or CG Pad Cleaner on them. Get them wet first, scrub, spur, scrub, spur dry. then finish with a day or so of air drying as well. I use both those pads FWIW

I just wash them, rinse them and then just put it back onto my polisher and let it spin dry. When I am polishing I just use a spur after each panal to keep the dust down.

My old thick white wool ones I do differently than my new PFW. The pfw is so easy, and I find that I need to clean them every few panels if I have a particularly dirty finish. In that case I spur it first (I do after about every 2nd or 3rd use) and then remove it and wash it in the sink with APC. I wring it out with my hand then spin it dry, followed by spurring again. That gets it pretty dry. Then back to her again.
For the old ones, which I haven't used in many months b/c they dust so damned much, I just spur during the job and clean in the sink afterwards with APC or massage in liquid laundry soap. Then rinse, rinse and wring and spin dry. Wool pad technology has come a long way thankfully.
