I dont know exactly where this belongs but iv been using KAIO(Klasse All In One)since the spring and i loved the cleaning ability.I usually top it with either a sealant or wax.I normally dont let it stand alone by itself.I was curious as to what everyone else uses as a cleaner prep before LSP if either im to lazy to polish or dont need to.

I think it all depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Are you trying to remove or hide minor swirls or are you just trying to clean the paint in an effort to promote adhesion of your LSP? Werkstat Prime products are great pre-wax cleaners .

Iv never heard of cleaners to hide or fill in minor inperfections.I was under the impression they just clean and some offer a little protection.Im looking for just a good cleaner.I guess if it can hide inperfections then that would be a plus.

So im up for any suggestions.and let me know why you like the product.

Products like Megs #80 Speed Glaze and Poorboys Black Hole Glaze both are capable of cleaning the paint and filling in minor imperfections. Products like Werkstat Acrylic or Carnauba Prime and Zymol HD Cleanse are pre-wax cleaners. All they will do is clean the paint in an effort to promote better adhesion of your LSP.
The Werkstat products are one of my favorites because they are dead easy to use. The Acrylic Prime pre-wax cleaner will provide at least a months protection all by itself. Add a couple of coats of Acrylic Jett Trigger and you're good for min 4 months.

You can also use Pinnacle, P21S, and Swissvax cleaner fluid. I only use these after a wash if the vehicle does not need any polishing, then move on to my lsp.

I like DG 501 as a base coat for my sealant, although i have had some streaking issues on dark colors (dont know why)..it cleans well, especially brightens up white vehicles and its durability is on par with DG 105..which is pretty darn good. It doesnt have any abrasive qualities so it wont do any correction, just clean and protect..

I would dnot use HD cleanse under a sealant since it contains oils and etc. This can create bonding issues.

the oils are meant to help it bond and add gloss.. i use cleaner fluid and get 5 + months of protection when i use js 109 topped with sv CR, BOS, sv concourso, zymol concourse...

porta do you have any evidence of this not working because i find just the oposite and have results to prove it.. others on here do the same as me and get more than 3 months protection easy as well.

    i LOVE SWISSVAX CLEANER FLUID!!!!!!!!!

way way better than hd cleanse imo...easier to use and i get better results both in gloss and longevity with bonding my lsp's

DG 501 is a great cleaner and makes a great bonding surface. I also like CGs Vertua Bond but not sure if you get any protection like you do with DG 501. Another that I like but use a little less often is Megs #151 Paint Reconditioning Creme.

I use DG 501 as a cleaner type product...but it can be used as a stand alone also....

it has some of the best cleaning action I have seen in a product...it deep cleans right down to the micro pore on clear...

try this..get some Klasse AIO....do a panel....then get DG 501....use a white terry applicator or a yellow foam one...go over the same area..now say whats all that black on the pad..its what AIO left behind...

501 was originally designed for boats to deep glean paint or fiberglass..and last while the boat is in the water ..taking water abrasion....you will get 4 months easy with 501 as a sealant....I have gone all winter with it on a plow truck...from Nov to may....and still beading nice..and with all the salt on it also....it is a proven product....

AIO is a nice procduct as it is still in some of my regimes on cars..but not as good as a cleaner or protector as DG 501....

501 will bring white paint to a whole new level....as it deep cleans it...but great on all colors...but white shows it's powers in cleaning

HD cleanse is a pretty oily thingy. All Swisswax cleaner fluids are made by Scholl concepts, so they are more or less a regular polish. Buy some Scholl from Pirex, much cheaper and IMO much better...

Al, after using 501 to clean the paint, do you see any problem topping it with a carnauba-based wax or a wax like Collinite 476s or 845? I'm already thinking ahead to next fall ...
