This is a beautiful car every thing on this car is perfect needing nothing but a good wsh and wax excpt for the hood. After 12 hours on the hood and touching up the rest of the car I was done. These picks mainly are about the hood.
    Still need a new camera.
    Process

    Wash MF and Dawn
    3m 1500 grit wet paper
    Dewalt 849
    3m 06060 extra cut compound
    3m wool 05719
    3m 05996 polish glaze
    3m foam 05738
    3m ultrafina
    3m foam 05708

The hood must have been refinished again and was left with bad sand scratches.

Start giving a light sand so the scratches will stick out. Guess what it's single stage. One to many rubs and no more paint!

Beautiful truck but the hood looks like it was sanded with a bastard file. Photos of scratches look like a different color. Any after photos ?

Do you think wet sanding will get rid of those marks? I'd be doubtful. What a shame.

Nice job, cool truck. One thing I hate is when people do not use the same make engine as the vehicle when doing a hot rod.

G O O D F O R Y O U!!!!!! Wow, I stand corrected...no pun intended. I gotta ask, how much paint were you dealing with there...it sure seemed like you would have to go deep to get all those marks out. Did you do readings? What were they? Again, amazing job...p.s...I love the light bulb reflection shot especially.:applause:

No readings if the hood couldn't be fixed then I would be refinishing it.

Why the poke from the first 3 posters... asking for after photos? I think the after photos came out great. However, Perfection is not a modest person, but that's besides the point.
