Hi guys, this is a detail i did a while back . Just thought i'd post it here for you to have a look at. yesterdays job was this xsara. looked like a nice clean motor but the closer you got, the worse it got, the paint was that badly swirled, the green was taking on a milky complexion. Quickly washed with FK shampoo, clayed with CYC polyclay with LT as lube. Hub caps given a blast of G101 and a scrub. All dried up and out with the halogen, apologise for the pic quality, i havent perfected photographing the defects yet. taped up and PTG readings where a bit of a mixed bag but nothing too concerning. Test patch was getting pretty good correction with a 3M blue pad and FF. Some deeper swirls where still evident so stepped up to IP which left only some really bad RIDS. Plastics where done with the G220 and a megs polishing pad, tight spots with seriuos performance spot pads. Weapons of mass correction. 50/50s arent great sorry but you can just make out correction in the double reflection of the rear wing. starting to look a bit better. The aftermarket badge was looking a bit manky so it was removed with the use of a hairdryer and some tardis. scratch on fuel cap removed with g220 and a SP spot pad. All correction done, car was given a rub down with FK conditioner and topped with FK pink wax. The afters, including obligatory tree shot and ugly bloke shot. thanks for looking. Dean.
