Anyone use these yet?

They resemble the CG XL530 or the Cobra Supreme 530 Microfiber Towel (which I have a few of and love). They have a great pric eon them on the Chemical Guys site, so I ordered 6 of them to try them out.

WOW, those are some expensive mf towels...

 

$9.99 for 3 (on sale), it doesn't seem too bad?

 

I have tried them for wax only so far and like them. I think you will like them better than the 530's. The blend on the 530's are 75/25 and the blend on the 550's are 70/30...Don't wash them in hot water at first they do bleed...I washed them in luke warm and the bleeding wasn't to bad. Oh, I did two cycles with an extra rinse. mine were pretty dirty when I got them. They are my go to towel now. I really like them alot...:thumb:

I'm simply overrun with microfiber right now. I'd be faced with throwing away some of what I've already got - an exercise I just performed a month or two ago...

Yes, I paid 9.00 for shipping the day before yesterday. Funny thing though they just change it to free shipping after I bought mine and it's not letting you through. I'm going to try again tomorrow. I want some more of these...They are great towels.:thumb:

It makes more sense now. When I was paying the 17.00 I was getting free shipping. The math is very close. 17.00 minus 9.00 shipping = 8.00 for the 3 pak...I'm still going to order some more. It's well worth it to me. It's a great towel IMHO...There should be something else on sale now that has gone away. They are doing a four day sale on different things. If you find it let me know. Thanks...

 

wonder if this is just an online only deal... one of the warehouses is close-by maybe i can knock off a couple bucks for "free shipping" :headbang:

Looks like the same towel, in 17x24. And, when you order these, the "free shipping" part of the special actually works.

I just ordered a three-pack. I'm overrun with 16x16 towels, but these 17x24 are a nice size.

 

Yes, I did notice page two. I'm doing the opposite of you. I need more 16x16 towels. You're going to love the 17x24 size...:thumb:

 

MF's came in today, They are very nice, soft and the construction of them looks good. Washing them now in a bath of the CG's MF wash in warm water to rid of any potential dyes that may bleed off when I wash my other MF's...

They appear very similar in construction to the Cobra Supreme 530's I mentioned earlier, at least these CG towels appear uniform in size and shape as some of my Cobra towels were trimmed crookedly. You can feel they are slightly plusher/fuller than the Cobra 530's also...
