I just picked up a gallon of Chemical Guy's Maxi Suds II. For the $12.99 it cost me it seems to be a great value. Somehow I don't think its as slick as Megs Gold Class. I am really looking for a good bang-for-buck soap thats not harsh on LSPs. Thoughts?

CG doesn't make the "slickest" soaps, but they are nice nonetheless. good find in my opinion.

it's not a bad soap (have less than a quarter left), but i don't plan on buying it again. i also have about 8oz's left (from a gallon) of the citrus wash & gloss but am not sure on ordering it again as well...

What is your criteria for a good soap? What is your favorite?

i've tried many different soaps (by no means are maxi suds II and cw&g bad) and i am still looking to try some more (DG CWC is one of my faves). i've been thinking about getting a gallon of the optimum car wash (everyone already knows how well ONR works) to be used in conjuction with the foam gun, in which i hear it works excellent with. if i don't like it (or any soap), i just give it away to my friends LOL...

Optimum soap is really nice. You cant stop the suds. It just laughs at brake dust. Great soap! I mix in a half ounce to an ounce of diluted OID and its like washing a car with wd-40 (maybe just my opinion). Smells good too.

I use optimums car wash, and throw in some ONR, both in the foam gun and in the bucket. and i love the results...

    i have MSII on order.
i didnt get citrus kind couse i though it strips LSP. is it safe to asume that all soaps with citrus content will strip LSP?

All soaps with citrus have the ability to strip LSP, used in the proper dilution it will be, should be, safe to use and LSP friendly.

Now personally, I never use a citrus wash to non-LSP stripping situation because I think it has a little effect on the LSP film layer, and rather just use something like Opt Car Wash.

While I don't believe the 4000:1 dilution ratio, at the very least, the CG Citrus Wash products are still extremely economical. I think one ounce for 3-5 gallons of water makes for a very nice wash.

    Does DG 901 strip LSP?

Nope, as long as you use proper dilution it will be safe for LSP. I think it is a pretty mild and very LSP safe soap so even going little over recommended dilution you'll be fine.
