How many people charge more for applying high end waxes such as Concorso, Mystery, Vintage, Divine, etc.? If so, how much?

LOL diamond cote is impossible to buff off....it turns into rock once u apply it. I can't believe it was 12 bucks on AG.. I'd rather buy something from meguiar's or mother's..

Without a doubt you need to add charges for those waxes. It would be up to detailer on how much of a mark up he or she wanted to do. I personally would make sure i made a bit more than that tub of wax cost me.

Obviously the answer to that question is a big yes, but as to the price it all various per country/state your in. I mean perhaps here in Calgary we can charge x amount over in the UK they charge xx amount and certain areas in the US you can charge xxx amount hard to narrow down on a price.

Only thing I suggest is see how the current market is around your area and the economic state your area is in as well..but that's just my opinion.

If i used a high end wax, i'd charge a little extra.

I love DG products but 104 is bad. Its like they had to come out with a paste to satisfy some customers. I opened a jar of it at a parts house one day. I was like-this is a paste??? Just myu 2 cents though.

It seems like DG messed up on the "paste" part, well calling it a "paste". It is indeed a liquid..

I'd charge more for it if I could. But fact is that I have the wax, but I don't have the customers that know the difference between Collnite 845 and Swissvax Mystery. How do you tell the customer to pay more for a wax that they wouldn't be able to tell the difference?

I think the only way I could charge more for it is on higher end cars that would take more time and justify it that way. Just my $.02

    I charge more for Swissvax.

My standard detail includes Zaino Z-5pro topped with Souveran. Now I am offering an upgrade to Swissvax, which 2 customers have asked for already.

    $650. for standard Z-5pro / Souveran.
    $700. for Swissvax Concorso.

    People love it.

I dont leave it up to them to ask for it either. A random customer has no idea who Swissvax is or why they would want it. I tell them about the Swissvax and Zymol history and why the product will do for the car.

Im 2 for 2 with Swissvax and havent used it yet...

A Zymol Vintage Estate Glaze treatment is at 800€ ..the luster and protection are undeniable. If you want the best you should invest.

My Swissvax services include Swissvax Best of Show on all details, however customers can upgrade to the following at a additional cost of:
    Mystery + £50 (roughly $95 in dollars)
    Divine + £90 (roughly $170 in dollars)

heres my take..if you wanna upgrade to a higher end wax with a additional cost you'll need to upgrade your client base as well....iIMO....f you have a soccer mom or an average client it would be hard to sell'em an upgrade at any cost .....

Since my highest end wax is Souveran, I don't charge extra.

Most of my high end customers want Zaino and I do charge more for a Zaino detail. They start at 300 and go up from there depending on the amount of paint correction needed.
