    Hi,

What dilution ratios are people using for Chemical Guys Sticky Gel? I have two 32oz bottles at full strength and two 32oz bottles at 2:1. Never tried it full strength, but how far are you guys diluting it for regular cleanings? And how powerful is this stuff at full strength? It's pretty impressive at 2:1 but I don't know if I want to dilute it much further because then it seems like I would lose all the benefit of the clingy gel.

    Thanks,
    Emile

4:1 if your wheels are not that dirty, and 2:1 if they are pretty dirty, that is what i dilute mine to. Add a little citrus wash and clear to make it more of a gel and give it some clinging ability, I would guess you can use some other soaps but have not tired. Foaming spray head will also help alot, I love my foaming spray heads for my bottles of APC, wheel cleaner, and leather cleaner.

Wow I think that is the suggestion I was looking for. I have the CG wheel gel and am not at all impressed with the stuff. I am going to try that as soon as I get home.

So at full concentration is this stuff a real gel? Can anyone compare it to p21s?

I have them both. Sticky Gel is more watery (in original form) than P21S Gel, but I'm not saying it's bad. I have tried a few gel wheel cleaners and the P21S Gel is the most "gel-like", with Sticky Gel probably being second.

agpatel, how much Citrus Wash & Clear in a 32oz bottle? And where did you come up with this solution? It says nothing like this on the container.

I use mine 1:1. It never failed on me. On someone else's car though, I usually go straight to Megs WB, since inner wheels seems to be very dirty.

Citrus wash is $18 for a gallon and $8 for 16 oz, CG does not have 32oz bottle. The adding of citrus wash I did not come up with but read it on here. I have not tried to add anything else, but I am willing to bet if you add some sort of regular soap, like 1/2-1 oz in a 32 oz bottle then you will get the cling you want. Only thing the soap is doing is sudding up so that the wheel cleaner can stay on it. Use a foaming spray trigger and it will help better.

Thanks agpatel, I have Citrus Wash & Clear and I have those Tolco Foaming Sprayers. I will have to give your method a try.

I was the one that actually came up with it. I tried several methods for it to "cling" then I decided to add some CW&C to it. With a 32oz bottle I add 1oz of CWC and then the typical ratio 2:1 for heavy and 4:1 for lightly soiled.

Hey Dan, Good idea...I always think that there might be a chemical reaction when mixing products like this. Does this ever cross your mind? or is it nothing to worry about...Thanks...:thumb:
