    Hi Guys,

Ordered a gallon of CG Bug & Tar Wash from the CG website last week and I received a gallon of CG Bug Bugger & Tar Remover. I called them up immediately and asked if they were the same product, and the girl said yes, but I think she just didn't know and was just agreeing with me. Anybody know for sure?

Anybody have any experience with this product? I plan on putting 2oz with 30oz water in a spray bottle and using it as a maintenance cleaner for my rims/tires since my wheels are always quite easy to clean. Also plan on using it for spot-cleaning tar as Grime Reaper is kind of a big gun I don't always want to use.

    Thanks,
    Emile

i have a gallon of the bug bugger and tar remover as well. its actually a pretty good product. i use it for a pre soak like you said for bugs, tar, and road grime. sometimes i even add some to my foam gun mixture.

Is it orange and citrus like, i think it is citrus smelling. But same stuff, it will dry out your hands fast. I use to put few oz in foam gun to strip LSPs and some in a bottle, 2oz/24oz water to use to remove bug guts. Worked great.

i have it too and compared to Stoners it wasn't all that hot IMHO.

i had it at 1:4 ratio too.

Ankeet, it smells very strong.... description on the site says that it smells like citrus/orange but it doesn't seem to smell that way in person.... just very chemical-smelling.

4:1? Isn't that really strong? Directions say to use 3 capfuls with 1 gallon of water as a wash soap. I guess 3 capfuls is one ounce of product? Drections also say it can be diluted in a spray bottle and applied directly to the surface.

2oz product to 30oz of water, will that be enough as a wheel cleaner and mild tar remover?

    Thanks,
    Emile

I am not positive, but after examination of DI's website and CG's website, it appears that CG Bug & Tar Wash may be a completely different product from CG Bug Bugger & Tar Remover.

I was actually researching tonight to find the best deal for a gallon of CG Citrus Wash. DI has it, and that is where I bought my first 16 oz (last year), but I couldn't find it on CG's website. However, CG has Bug & Tar Wash, which also appears to be called Strong Wash, and visually it looks like Citrus Wash (orange liquid). If these 3 products are indeed one and the same, then Bug Bugger & Tar Remover is a completely different item because DI also sells this one separately, and the directions are different from Citrus Wash.

Therefore . . . I conclude that one of us should call Paul at CG to clarify! Don't know if I have time tomorrow, but I'll try to do it and let you all know. Or if anyone else can find out and chime in to this thread, that would be great too!

CG screws around with the labels all the time, You order VRT, it says VRP. same thing.......... I think they have idiots working the lexmark at CG half the time.
