Very interested as the mud I've dragged across my windshield has caused some very light marks, making the light refract and annoy the hell out of me. It seems to have Cerium Oxide which I believe is the correct substance for glass. Anyone try it?
I got my kit coming in today with some glass polishing disks and will hopefully try it out this weekend.
Let me know how it works out! My windshield needs a fresh start and then a fresh coat of Aquapel. I still have some vague sort of protection on my windshield from over a year ago.
PPPPLEASE let me know how it works too ankeet. my windshield is badly marked up from grit, etc and its bothering the shit out of me while driving. who is selling the kit?
i see it. the kit they have is for use by hand. ill have to buy their polish and then pick up some lake country glass pads for the machine.
what do you guys think. glass cutting pads, polishing pads, or both? im worried if i just use the cutting pad, it wont come out perfect. no experience with the glass correction though.
I read that CarPro recommends using their glass pads for some reason, maybe $$$, maybe because they were formulated together, not really sure.
I got my package in the mail today from AutoGeek with: Carpro glass kit, 3" GG polisher, 3" GG glass pads, 6" GG glass pads (windshield), 3" foam pad, and 3" MF pad. Hoping ot use the glass pads to polish it out on a rotary and using the foam pad on the 3" polisher to clean it up a bit. Future I hope to use the MF pads to clean the glass well before application of Wolf's glass guard.
Ankeet - You are lucky to get the product ! I ordered it last week, and it is back ordered for 1-2 weeks, so at that rate with the 7 days it takes to ship to the Northwest, I wont see it for probably 3 fricking weeks ! Annoying for AutoGeek to not tell me before I ordered that they dont really have it. Dan F
kyle: where can you get the carpro glass pads? if they're not easily had, i will just get the lake country ones.
