Do these types of lifts just sit on the floor of the garage? I'm not an engineer, but it would seem kind of unsafe pulling a car up like that with no bolting to the slab.

google it. there are many different types, and manf. some are smaller and can be moved around, some are larger. some cost 1000.00 some cost 3x that. just depends. Ive looked into long before i was detailing simply for the fact it makes lowering cars, suspension and exhaust mods so much easier.

@ auto concierge what kind lift are you using?

My lift is a Snap on Electric, 6,500LB capacity and is moveable. $2,350.00 USD to buy it and I have had mine for over two years without a hitch(Snap on tightness)
