Hello all, I've got a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 with the factory cloth oem seats. I came across a set of oem leather seats for my car, but they look kind of rough. I don't have much experience with leather, and hoped you guys could help out. The seats are here: 2007-2009 Mazda 3 Mazdaspeed Front Seats OEM LKQ: eBay Motors (item 190435494200 end time Sep-24-10 04:36:53 PDT) What do you guys think? Can they be saved?
the leather to me looks rather crummy. My 06 BMW seats with 60k+ miles are in better shape than those and they only started getting cared for a year ago. to OP, I'd look for seats in better shape unless you really want these seats then leatherique should help but wont make it 100%
Although the seats aren't in that bad of a condition, you can give them a good clean up, however you have to be careful when cleaning old car seats, as a lot of the dirt will sit in any cracks, making them invisible to see, so when you clean the seats removing the dirt from any cracking will then show the cracks, thus sometimes making the seats look worse. If you do clean the seats and find that they have crack or any type of damage to them, you can fix them using our Colourant Kits, and repair products. Furniture Clinic - Leather Care Cleaner, Furniture Repair & Restoration You can change the colour of the seats if you wish, or to keep the same colour, send us a sample of the leather and we can colour match it for you.
