Can anything be done about this door sill?

    I think the clear coat, or whatever they use on these things has been rendered ineffective... I am not sure how. Could I do anything about this? Any ideas on how to make it look better?

    Some really random ideas of mine are: Silver Touch-up Paint, or a silver sharpie marker.

    Looks like it has corroded. Not sure what you could do. Norcal Bob may have an answer for you. Pm him.

    Hard to see in the pic, but the tresholds when they get hammered sometimes need to be replaced.

    Looks like aluminum corrosion to me. I would say the clearcoat would have to be stripped and the corrosion fixed and re-clearcoated.

    Sorry about the bad picture, it was hard for me to capture this on camera.

    I agree that for a perfect restore it will likely have to be replaced, but is there anything that could make it look less noticeable? A polish? P21S multi surface restore?
