I must admit I've been anticipating the arrival of this Enzo since the beginning of winter! It finally rolled off the transport last week, and after a quick glance, I knew it was going to be a project. I just didn't realise at first how big it was going to be! This is by far my proudest moment, not only being the most expensive and extensive detail I've done, it's also and Enzo! The owner was really upset to see the shape it was in, since he said there weren't any scratches, scuffs, or marring on it when he went down to the US to buy it last year. In total, this took me 12.5hrs. I started with a full wash, engine and all. The paint was smooth so I didn't need to go at it with a clay bar. I did a quick detail on the interior (it's all carbon fiber and leather, so it was really quick), cleaned up the windows, and then got after the paint. Taping it off took about 30mins or so. The first stage was with Black Pearl 04 applied with the Car Brite yellow foam pad at 1400rpm. Stage 2 was with 3M Swirl Remover and Car Brite vented black foam pad at 1400rpm. Lastly, I went over the whole car again with 3M Ultrafina applied with the Ultrafina waffle pad. To finish off the car, I used Zymol HD Cleanse Professional and Zymol Vintage. On the tires I used Zymol Tyre Preserve, and applied Zymol Wheel Coat to the new black chrome wheels. I haven't had a chance to get it out into the sun yet, since we've been getting nothing but rain for the past few days! Enjoy! Oh, this is also the 3rd vehicle I've done for this client so far this spring. First was his ML63, then his 08 GT3RS, and the Enzo. I have his Challenge Stradale lined up, and his Carrera GT and Bentley Flying Spur just showed up yesterday at the shop for me to detail as well! Pics of those will come soon.
Man, look at the colors of those cars: bright red, yellow and green. I take it the owner likes his share of attention when he's about town.
Ah yes, this Enzo sure made a buzz around town...being what the 3rd Enzo in town is quite something...the red looks gorgeous :woo: Owner has quite the collection of vehicles huh :what: :what: Thanks for sharing eace:
very nice !! your picture skills aren't bad either ..too bad you don't see any sweet cars like that here in Chicago
reason you do not see them in Chicago..they steal them...lol..... Nice Enzo...looks great....paint looks real nice..its hard to photo red....it always comes out different shades from different angles... AL
This is actually Enzo #4 in Calgary, but it's not going to always be here. The blemishes you notice around the lights is actually rock guarding. A 48" kit was applied, to the front end, which is the largest you can get. Pretty much all the cars that come through the shop end up getting sold on the kit. They apply it to leading edges everywhere around the car too. It was actually put on in the middle of my detail, which is why it spanned 3 days!
Same here. The yellow one is just plain hot due quite a bit to the modifications done to it (plus, it sounds INSANE), but when it comes to a stock Enzo, the red looks amazing! I tell you though, I'm REALLY itching to get my hands on the black one now!
hahaha It's a good thing I'm fairly flexible and can use the Dewalt at add angles! Crazy thing is, no matter how long I worked a certain area with the machine, the paint never heated up.. I'm thinking it has something to do with the fact that every panel is carbon fiber?
