Well, we actually didn’t go to white castle but Larry(leungly) did go to Hammer town for a bit of a road trip. In Hamilton, there was a dark blue 07 civic that was said to need some attention. Nothing major, just minor swirling and the odd stratch. It was a bit of a hike to Hamilton from my house (1.5 hours) but I owed the owner huge so I had to make the trip. The Process We only did the outside paint correction on the car. The Wash Uber sponge and White Schmitt with 2BM AM Wash and Wax Gilmour Foam AG CWC for the tires and wheels ARO for the wells AM 777 for the badges Clayed with Riccardo Blue, AM Body Shine for Lube WW towel for drying The Correction Poorboys 2.5 on a DA (Larry is not up to the rotary yet) on the trunk and bumpers Menz PF on the rest of the car with a Green GI pad The Roof took some Presta UCCL on a yellow edge pad then the Pf The finish Wiped car with Aquasol and Body Shine Applied KAIO with DA and white pad HD Wheel Gel on the Tires CG Liquid Extreme shine on the Wells(mostly because I like the smell
Here is the start some swirling on the trunk Me looking like I know what I am doing A little goes a long way swirls on the pillars Customary 50/50 All done And the end reaction on why I love doing this: Bryan, the car looks awesome! The swirl marks and minor scratches are gone and my car sparkles. It has never looked this good. You guys did an excellent job.
Amazing difference! Props for doing that out in direct sun. I havn't made it to that level yet, I'm still a shade guy.
Nice job on the Honda Bryan. I give you guys kudos for working outside. Unless I can be comfortable, I'm not doing it.
I like my Dual Action Polisher just fine however I do want to upgrade to the new Meguiar's G110 V2 (yes I know its the esentially the same as the 7424XP). When time becomes a real factor in my details I think I'll add a Flex Rotary to the arsenal but for now I'm good. Yeah it was really good working with Bryan on this Civic in Hamilton.
save yourself the $200 on the G110 and upgrade to the flex rotary. I just bought a flex 3403 VRG and went to town on a scrap hood I got from my friend. It was a bit tricky at first but you're only going to get better by constantly challenging yourself and adapting. I don't think you're gonna improve your skills by getting the G110....so it's not exactly an upgrade. The fact that you used a DA already means that you had more experience than me when I started. SO instead of just outgrowing the G110 with 1 car just get a rotary and ask bryan for tips. Heck it was bcuz of Bryan that I bought the Flex when I came down to Toronto to see him. do it do it do it. I can't see the pics right now bcuz im at work but will check those out soon when I get home congrats :applause2: -Waseem
