I have a wintery, brine my dad's black cloth floormats.

I tried some Chemical Guys Stain Extractor and even used straight, it wasn't lifting the salt.

Would it be safe to try an APC like 1Z Blitz diluted with water to remove the stains from cloth mats?

All I ever use on mats is APC. Try wetting the mat, spraying the area with your APC, and give it a scrub. Allow it to soak for 5-10 minutes. Scrub again and rinse. Hang to dry.

APC will work fine. I used the Sonax carpet cleaner this past winter and it worked great. I used an all purpose MF to scrub with.

Also if you can, use hot water to rinse, and then extract

Find a bath, get some Hertel (no bleach), some APC (~1:4 if really dirty) and a little brush.

Make sure you wet the carpet and let the products soak in a bit. Scrub away young padawan!

You can use the backside of the handle as a squeegee.

I personally do this since in Montreal we put more salt then we have snow and they always come out looking new.

Does that mean the Salt Eraser products I've seen around are just an APC? Seemed kind of expensive for the small cans.
