I'd like to find out what brand/style of pads detailers on this forum are using. I have the 3401VRG and have used Lake Country Smart pads a couple of times. While the white and the black pads work fine it is the orange pad that seems to jump more then I like.

I would like to find a pad similar in foam density to an orange pad that would work smoother.

While using an orange pad I'll set the Flex at 3, would a higher rpm help?

    Thanks

I have all the Uber pads and have used them without issue on my 3401. I am going to use my 3401 this weekend, I will let you know how the Uber pads work out on it.

with orange pads, since they're so still, they're always going to be a little "harder" to manage than softer pads. this will ease away though as you get used to them, and as the pad breaks in more. brand new they can be a little finicky.

are you priming the pads at all? i know when i use a stiffer pad, the first pass or so is a little finicky, but otherwise its fine after that. also, speed 3 seems a little slow no? guess it all depends on your needs though

I bought an orange Uber pad and my first impression is the Uber pad will flex more by the nature of its shape. I'll try it out this week.

    Thanks for the replies

Have you tried out a purple foamed wool pad? This should make it easier to control while correcting
