Do you guys prefer clear or solid bottles or does it matter to you?

I say solid aesthetically looks better but clear is more practical as you can see the remaining levels.
If i were to sell a product id use solid tho, i think its psychologically more pleasing to not know how much product you got left LOL
clear plastic is also slightly less durable than solid color I believe due to the mixture in chemicals

As a formulator you like to have the option of using a solid bottle because you can't always make the best product non separating. A product that separates does not always have an acceptable appearance in a clear bottle. It's a marketing thing. As a formulator you always want to have that flexibility of being able to utilize the best raws available for the job without tying your hands to the completely non separating product appearance issue.

    Clear:

Can see when product separates thus, allowing you to see when it has been adequately shaken
    Easier to fill
Easier to see when product is running low

Clear for the obvious above reasons, especially when it comes to refilling the smaller bottles like the 32oz ones. Nothing worse then trying to fill them when they are solid and you don't know how full you're getting! :)

The Meguiar's Detailer line bottles are by far the best of any other bottles IMO. Clear, individual colored labeling per product, mixing ratio marks printed right on the bottle too! Perfect! ;)

Clear is better, that way you can identify the product just by looking at the color most of the time.

I'm a fan of clear bottles. you can see how much product you have left, can see how much you are putting in when refilling, it makes it easier to tell products apart (sometimes) and if you have nicely colored products, it makes for an eye pleasing experience. You can easily see if your products have been well mixed should they need it. You can also see if something has gone really wrong with a product without having to pour/use it.

I love the new Meguiars 16 oz. Self Cleaning Dispenser Bottle (clear). Just ordered a 6 pack, no more clogs.

What about bottles that are solid with a clear line (think gas can). Probably pricey... maybe a cheaper alternative would be a clear bottle covered mostly by the product label leaving a 1/4" clear line up the back of the bottle?

You can pick up some decent bottles very well priced from us plastics. They have so many sizes and shapes as well.

Clear or translucent........ Is what I prefer.

Adams uses a great looking bottle, as does CG.

Adam's bottles are great, would be nice if they had dilution ratio markers on it as the labels are the bomb!

Hmmm.. clear or solid. Is the clear filled with Exclusive APC? If so Ill take a dozen.LOL

Clear is so much more convenient for us Detailers, and having the most popular neck threaded size for different tops like the pull up spout, etc., would always be a plus.
And like HeavyD above, any bottles filled with Exclusive-anything would be the absolute best ! :)

I would say clear as well. Furthermore, as stated previously the adam's bottles are great in terms of shape.

might not be the look you are going for, but "white" bottles sometimes give the solid look but you are still able to see the shadow of the product in the bottle...? just a thought..
