The plastic cover on the end of the PC (where the side handle attaches) rattles. Where could I get bolts to put in there to stop it, as I don't use the side handle. FWIW, I have the regular 7424, not the new one. Thanks! -Roger.
Roger, try giving Porter Cable a call and maybe a nearby repair facility has some parts you can buy to fix it up .
I just took my PC into Home Depot and found a bolt and lock washer for mine. Works really well since that rattle drove me nuts.
hmm, have to look into it since i dont use side handle. i wonder if you can get that handle from new ps somewhere to attach to old one, im sure it would fit this is handle im talking about i talked to maguiars reps at autoshow and they told me to call maguiars and see if they can send me the handle, or is there anything i can
I got mine from the hardware store. Just bring your handle in with you, and match up the threads. It doesn't matter if the bolt you buy is shorter, just make sure it's not longer, otherwise it won't do anything. I think it cost me about 20 cents.
