How hard is the clear on this? I heard its some finicky paint, but as for defects like the pictures below, it will probably take a 2 step correction don't you guys think?

A customer wanted his paint fixed as he just purchased it a few weeks ago, and seeing as this is without flash, it seems repairable but with some time put into it.

What do you you think? Any experience with Jet Black?

Very soft. What's your plan for a 2 step correction?

I was thinking about M105 on an orange pad on the DA, then M205 to finish on white. I also have some SIP and HD Uno 3.0(still stuck in customs...) and maybe PO85RD. The goal is to get as much as possible out, but maybe I can do it with SIP and PO85RD.

I'd suggest trying SIP and PO85RD on a test panel. Should yield great results. M105 seems aggressive.

BMW Jet Black paint is not that bad. It's soft but can easily be corrected. PF/Prima Swirl are two good ones that can in most cases be used as a one step with the right pads. LC Orange then LC White. Shouldn't have to use anything too aggressive in terms of polishes.

Agree with others. Really soft clear compared to other German autos.

Very soft. I did a 2007 Jet Black 335i once. So soft that even my MFs were marring the paint.

Im in with the others, have done many, even owned a 3Series in Jet Black - soft, correctable, doesn't need major hammering unless its really marked up.
If you have Menzerna PO83 Super Intensive, its pretty good with the right pad and might make the 2nd step really easy.
You just have to be careful that you dont mar the paint with bad microfiber, etc..
When done right, it looks stunning !

    Good Luck
