ELECTRIC BLOWER JETSPEED DRYER BLOW DRYER Anyone tried this? I have a Craftsman electric blower but its a bit large. Is this thing any good? Makita makes a similar one I may wind up with that one.
Nice Title, but you really don't need to blow like a pro when it comes to leaf blowers it, just needs to get the water out of the crevices it doesn't need 250mph whirlwinds to do that, save time save money go to a hardware store and pick up a $30 blower unless your in Landscaping then disregard the comment above.
Thrifty bastich that I am, I always look for tools that can be used for multiple purposes. I've been using the removable blower from my Shop Vac for over 20 years. I think I got my money's worth out of it long ago. :applause2: TL
Im in with Central California ( and I know alot about that area when I worked for Blue Anchor) on this - I want the strongest, manageable, blower possible to help get all the water out quickly and with the fewest passes. A big volume blower is also invaluable when you want to blow tons of debris, dirt, etc., out the sides of a vehicle, or out the back of a big, dirty van, or truck bed. You cant get a big enough machine when you need to clean up after detailing a large airplane in a hospital clean hanger with shiny floors either..... No mamby-pamby blowers need apply at my shop ! i was thinking of other things when i saw the title.... so anyhow i'll just grab my straw and start blowing water off with it...
It is very loud but works. Not as powerful as the meto vac though. I have the original version, and the new offering supposed to be more powerful.
I knew the title would get some responces. I also detail a few motorcyles a month and a smaller blower would work better for mobility. But I tried this last year and it was a complete waste, but I bought it from a local dealer so it was easy to return unlike things from california.
I have a Metro Vac n Blow and have used it in blow mode - it's okay. I just got the twin motor 8HP Metro Master Blaster blower and WWWWOOOOOWWWW! It's a hurricane! It draws 18 AMPs max but you turn on each motor separately so the draw doesn't trip a standard outlet. And because it sits on the wheels while you steer the hose (with a soft rubber tip in case you touch the paint) it's easy to use - you don't have to lift the canister. Highly recommended.
Just buy this attachment for your Craftsman, you won't regret it. I have had the Air Wand for years and it does a great job. It spreads the air out over a wide area and makes the air drying process quick and efficient in comparison to the standard nozzle tip most dryers have Air Wand
The best product IMO is the Metro Master Blaster, it is 8hp, heated and filtered air. Also has rubber attachments so it won't damage the paint should the hose nozzle touch the car. Look into it not cheap but well worth it.
I have the older one (pre-variable speed). It's okay. It's actually smaller than you think (which is good for portability). It is very loud as another member said; but it's easy to hold, lightweight, and easy to maneuver. It won't shed water like a full-size electric/gas leaf-blower, but it does pull water out of tight spaces. The jetSpeed blower has rubber attachments too, which is good because you will probably have it pretty close to the paint in order to move water most effectively.
The CG is a piece of shit, broke within its first use. Get a regular electric leaf blower and save the hassle.
He aint lyin. Mine crapped out, didnt even get a summer out of it. Went with a Craftsman electric and never looked back. Thanks Rcrew for the link brother. That thing looks kinda cool.
The metro vac n blo 4hp makes a great blower!! Amazing output from such a small size. Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk
I have had the Air Wand for 5 years, still going strong. It is worth the $ because of the way it spreads out the leaf blower air over roughly 16".
