Since I worked on a red Lotus recently, I was expecting the worst. Even though the client wasn't looking for paint correction I knew the paint was going to be a mess. And I can't really do a half a$$ job on a car like this. Maybe on a white corolla. Maybe. Anyways here is what the car looked like outside at 2pm. After a hot water wash the car was clayed, although most of the car was free from contaminent except for the very bottom of the car. You see this car is tracked. Once the car was inside the garage I turned on the halogens. The left rear fender - the whole car looked like this and more. After 1 pass on the flex with a white ccs pad and POLI SEAL speed 6 BEFORE/50/50 AFTER Before After 1 pass After 2 passes Before After Scholl #17 green pad flex speed 6 and PS Before After PS After Just PS
The car is going to be at the Washington DC Auto show (next weekend) so I wanted to make the paint look extra nice The choice of wax today was Max Wax. Tires have Z16 x2
Nice work!! that has to be the coolest exige I've seen... The blacked out look makes it seem very serious instead of a toy car... So he didn't pay for correction but you gave it to him anyway - damn nice of you!!
Very nice vehicle, DB Boss is looking to purhcase one of these. I'll sending the link so he can look at it :thumb: I was never a big fan of these vehicles but now after DB Boss and I have been looking at a few I can see why people like these vehicles, seeing pictures of it is one thing seeing it in person is another...has lovely curves. That's a very nice detail you did there, I like how the black rims give it a totally different look to it :wicked: Thank you for sharing :applause:
Ahhh that is sweet turnaround! Really great work! The correction and Max Wax looks outstanding! That must have been one pleased client! I normally don't like the dark rims.. but it works on that car!!
Thank you guys. I was done in 6 hours and he payed for that. Luckily the paint was very easy to correct so what would take me normally for a non correctional detail he received a car where almost everything was removed. The car is already at the convention center and "they" QDed the car already so I can only imagine what it looks like now.
Thanks! I'd say it is the ideal paint for detailers. Takes nothing to correct and you can actually wipe off the polish without marring the paint. I wish every paint was like this.
Thomas, How do you like the Scholl products. I've only seen that product line mentioned a few times. And where did you purchase it from, if you dont mind. Great work with just the poli-seal too. Amazing with just one pass with the flex. Looks outstanding. Great job as always. Heath
Thanks guys very much. It is a very nice car. It has a turbo on it. COOTER - I personally wouldn't bother with scholl. #17 - (like sip) and #2 (pg) are good. Their final polish and wax sucks. Came from Hungary, from Bence (autopia)
Great work Thomas. I will play a little more with my Scholl products this weekend. How did they work with the Flex?
Thanks Ryan - Worked well, that one area on the car seemed worse and I didn't feel like wasting time trying to correct with PS. The weather was called so instead of SIP I reached for #17. It is a very good product.
