This 911 was setup for a basic detail to improve the paint. The owner had a specific budget and I promised to do my best. With only 40K on the odo, the rest of the car was in amazing shape. Current owner purchased the vehicle recently. I was told that the car has upgraded turbos. Total time spent was around 9 hours. After a test spot I knew that I could do a lot better than a basic clean up. But that also meant that I'd not be taking enough pictures. The car The condition of the paint My test spot before Here is the test spot after 1 pass. Love single stage paint. Here is a 50/50 with one pass - more passes were performed afterwards The other side is getting better In this picture I am getting ready to do the rear fender The car is done but before protection Here is is all done but by this time the sun was long gone and was getting pretty dark.
ONe of my favorite car except for the chrome wheels. Love the black finish. Very nice work. What combo was used?
LOL you and Jayplay are dominating the board right now, must be 10 write-ups between the two of you in the 'new' section. This Porsche looks much better!
Damn that is sexy!! Single stage is really rewarding! Was it tough to correct? Did it take time to find the right combo?
Thanks everyone for your kind replies, Since initially I wasn't going to go after most of the swirls, I decided to use Meg's D300 on an orange pad instead of the MF pad. And because it worked so well I switched back to HD UNO to cut the paint, followed by D300 and finished off with D301. Protected it with HD POXY
1 - wasn't tough to correct except for the very last panel - left rear fender. Still can't figure out why. I always just use HD UNO to correct, Never lets me down.
Really nice work! Are those the factory wheels? I don't think I have seen those kind of wheels before on a Porsche.
