any tips/trick using this sealant? I heard it cannot be topped off with carnauba wax, or it sweats like crazy, is that true? Can it ba layered? Can it be used on a top of other sealants? What durability should I expect from it?

    TIA.

When I apply it I mist the panel lightly and then apply it so it goes on really thin. Then I quickly do the same to the next panel and apply. Then I wipe off the first panel and go to wipe off the second panel. I haven't seen it sweat but I've applied it on top of my sisters Jetta that had Collinite 845 on it and it was fine. It's a good LSP, once you get used to it you'll love it.

Tips/hints: very thin layers, keep a damp FOAM applicator. You can work a panel at a time after you get it down. Use a short nap MF to buff off. Up and down for side panels and side to side on top panels (i think, may have it backwards) to do some minor masking

Topping: it can be topped by some nuba's but you could end up with a haze. I find that AB itself has a great look and does not need to be topped

Layering: yes it can be, 2 coats is a good amount about 30-45 min apart. On 2ed coat use a light touch. Longer you let it sit before buffing more filling will happen.

Use it on bare paint, as it has some light cleaning ability works best clean paint.

Durability, well it is amazing, 4-5 months, 6 months is not unheard of.

I've never actually used it, but i've heard some people topping it with Collinite, but at the same time i've heard that you shouldn't top it with anything, so I dunno

Read about the Collinite topping over on DW, only thing I have to say is that I feel like 845 is pretty high in solvent and that has to do something to AB film layer IMP. I like the look of AB by itself personally, has the nuba glow but still crisp reflections.

Agreed, that's what I was thinking. But what if they used 915 instead? It just a pure wax with no cleaners, so in theory that should go on fine.

845 is suppose to be a pure wax as well, I think the whole line is a high solvent wax line, IMO.

I think Karl topped AB with RBOE and had good results. Like I said I like my AB bare.

I got some AB on the way. Not sure when I will apply since I just did JS109/RBOE this past weekend. Seems like people have had mixed results with topping it. I would if it plays well with FK425 or Red mist? Not sure when the BH Topper will be out, but supposedly soon. I read somewhere that the makers had a death in the family/close friend which have delayed its release.

So even 915 has high solvents? So if I were to apply over a coat of Sunburst, do you think that would remove it?

Actually, he had to remove it because he found clouding in it. It's interesting, because I got the same thing too, I put it on my Macbook one night because I was bored, and then I put on some kinda paste wax a week later, I think 915 or RBOE, and I noticed clouding too. It's only from certain angles, but when you see it, it looks like crap.

thanks for all replies, guys, very much appreciated. I think BH AB will be my winter LSP on one of the vehicles, most likely on black BMW.

That's exactly right. Well, mostly right. I topped it with Vintage (JL did the same thing on the same day), and initially, I thought it looked stunning. A couple days later, JL noticed some cloudy areas on his Jet Black 335xi. It took me about a day longer to spot it on my dark silver S2000, but it was there. Only at certain angles. The lighting that gave it away, believe it or not, was the single halogen floodlamp at the top of the roof of the garage. Bright light masked it, and I never did see it with the Brinkmann, even after knowing where it was.

If you go back and find my BHAB review thread, you can watch the whole thing unfold over the course of a day or two as JL and I realized it had gone wrong. I think we were both posting real time updates, if you will. It's kind of funny to read back through it.

You never know until you try stuff. Win some, lose some. I only screw around like that with my own cars.
