ok lemme try this thread again. macbook keeps taking a crap. anyways. this car was delivered to my work earlier this week from chicago. it has seen regular track use with its original owner, which pretty much ruined the clear film beyond repair, and the exterior was in pretty bad shape for a GT3. i convinced my boss to have me bring this back to life over the weekend with my own supplies, because hey, its a GT3, and i wasnt about to let it be "detailed" by someone else i work with, and especially not using the junk we have to work with there. anywho, she turned out really good IMO, and is now sitting on the showroom floor, looking sexy as hell...waiting for a buyer. the same day, the local PCA chapter showed up to do a bi-yearly tech-inspection day, and i was surrounded by porsches! thanks man! yes i was reimbursed for supplies used :thumb: haha youre damn right i did! thats an augusta! the guy that had it just bought it the night before...for $30k. nothing on the road can touch it apparently.
Nice work as usual! That MV Augusta is very nice, but I like the 1098/1198 Ducati's better. Nevertheless great job on the Porsche.
haha yeah its ok. to be honest, if i was running it i would throw almost everything that we have out and get all new products, besides the rotaries, lights, mytee lite, etc. but the chemicals and polishes....lets not even go there....
billy it turned out really nice ... btw how do you like Pete's 53? I haven't had a chance to use it. I will probably wait until next spring.
thanks gianni. i liked it a lot actually. reminds me a lot of lusso, except its a little easier to put on and take off.
I have heard that it beads really nice ... I might give the highlander another 845 coat and use pete's 53 as a topper.
if you do, let me know how it turns out. id be curious to know how if and how the petes sits over a bed of 845. thanks ken. thanks again for taking the time to talk to me about the wheels and clear film. i didnt even bother calling bob from auto concierge about the clear film since right after i got off the phone with you i realized the clear film was unsalvageable under closer inspection.
thanks guys. yeah the petes 53 looks really good on it for sure. i wanted to bring the wet diamond with me to put down as a base first, but i forgot to grab it. oh well.
oh thats it? lol i just checked my account i have 97k ill have to get back to you when i make 1k more :giggle:
