hey guys. just finished up a two day correction. the car is a volcano black audi a4. its pretty heavily modded, but the meat and potatoes of the mods is that its running a K04 Turbo on a PC16 tune, front mount intercooler, full turbo back exhaust, etc etc. the car was in very bad shape, as you will see in the pics. key marks, very deep RIDS, impact damage to BOTH drivers side wheel arches, a side seat bolster airbag that has been deployed, grease stains all over the interior (the guy does his own wrenching). i had to do a decent amount of wetsanding on this one. also got to try out my newly acquired BH AutoBalm and Autoglym Custom Wheel cleaner. needless to say, i am very pleased with both products. oh and per Richys recommendation, i picked up a gallon of the Zep Citrus APC/Degreaser. man that stuff is great! just as good as TAW in my opinion, and a fraction of the cost. can be used on interiors, carpeting as well. i used about 2oz in my foam gun along with the soap and it worked really well on a filthy car. my process for correction was two step for the most part, but as i was wet sanding, obviously some areas needed compounding. i did not touch the motor on this one, although it was insanely nasty. after looking it over, i came to the conclusion that due to the mods, and the way some of the things were "put together" i did not want to put myself at risk of damaging something. That thing was beat to hell, owner's DD I take it? Anyways, great turn out,:thumb: +1 on the sleeper.
wow that was dirty! almost made me throw up I was so sick to my stomach, then you so graciously included the wonderful picture of you girlfriend and all was well!! Lucky dog!! Good job on the detail man!
Billy ... incredible transformation. I can't believe that someone would drive a modified audi in that bad of a shape ... I guess this is a "true" sleeper. See ya next week dude
thanks chas. the car is definitely a total sleeper. my style for sure. its not even lowered and still has the stock 16s, so from every angle but the front it looks like a plane jane A4, but i assure you it is not. haha thanks. you're lucky i only put up like half the pics i took :giggle: thank you and yes it is daily driven. consider yourself lucky that you cant smell the bouquet that was lingering in the car lol. thanks for your kind words gianni. i know its sad to see such a high performance machine in such poor condition, but some people just dont care and would gladly rather pay someone else to take care of it for them. works for me! :headbang:
side by side for me as well. you did the same thing when you posted up the work we did on your car. haha. i just realized i'm over 2000 posts!
