Hi Guys/Gals. I've heard word through a past customer that they have given out my card, and a referral to a friend. I haven't talked to this new potential customer directly but I hear they are insterested in having a BMW and their big rig detailed. Of course, I won't turn work down if they are willing to pay me for it, but I've never done anything with regards to such huge machinery. I'd love to hear advice from anybody that has experience in this area. Of course my current costing system of packages has to go out the window for this, so an hourly rate will have to be assumed. Which areas are usually most important to customers with big trucks? I also have no gear to tackle such a project, but I also have no idea what I'd need. I'd love some general tips and advice from anybody experienced with such machines. Thanks, Steve
Rigs are no different than doing cars, just way bigger. I would do it by the hour. You probably have everything you need with the exception of a VERY tall ladder! Just follow the same procedures you do with your cars but allow extra time.
Most people charge by the foot. between $15 and $20 is the usual rate. It also depends on if he wants the inside done and if it has a sleeper. All these would be an additional cost
