Looking to throw one of these 2 products onto my IS250 after I polish and looking for the better of the 2 to protect against scratches and swirls for my very very soft paint. Wax is not doing much to protect my paint no matter how careful I am.

    I'm leaning toward Opti-Coat, am i correct?

One coat of Opti Coat adds about 2 microns of clear which is about the average removed during compounding/polishing. This is twice the thickness of the other product mentioned. Also, Opti Coat becomes part of the paint while the other just sits on top.

Carrier flashes within two minutes. Can get wet after an hour. Can be washed after 24 hours. Strong chemicals can be applied after a few days. Total hardness achieved +/- a month.

Can OCII be layered over a glaze?

No. You need to apply OC - and other coatings - on perfectly clean, bare paint.

I need to get some of this opti-coat for my wheels. I'm coated with brake dust after a day of driving.
