Hi there! Ive been searching all over for products of various kinds. One of which is a little higher end "boutique" wax if you will. I'm not looking for the save your money and get 476 responses as im ordering that and 1000p, so that's not a concern. Also blackfire is my go to sealant, as its the best i've used so far and what i want for durability. Im just looking for a wax, to change it up. Not looking for something that works best over something else, or recommends something over it. Something that protects well by itself, layerable, not finicky when it comes to putting over whatever else is on a car(maybe a paint cleanser such as lime prime), doenst look better on certain colors, beads well, and is durable.(with regards to durability, i mean over a month or 2, not 6 months or something like 2 weeks.) (too much lol?) Ive read so many threads my head is spinning lol :shead:

Heres what ive been considering and why
-Dodo juice (dont know what it is about this company, maybe style and the name or clever marketing that is appealing) Banana armour-from what i hear its the best all a-rounder from the straight 8.
-Dodo juice-rb juiced-haven't heard a lot but wax test says its lasted over the 2 month mark and still going, also made for all colors.
-Blackfire midnight sun-dont hear too much about this one either, although im sure its great over the bf sealant, but not sure how it is by itself, nor how durable it is.
-CG 50:50-hear good things, on the fence about durability and shear quantity (16oz tin)
-victoria concours (red?)-Very well like by those who use it, durable from what i hear, and looks great.
-rb oe-seems quality, but wary of application (juiced just seems easier, but people say this looks better, durbility wise i'd guess they're the same?)

Vics is good, 50/50 looks great and is very easy on easy off, durability is lacking compared to others. I too might get some juiced and banana armour. I would maybe start off with the juicd edition, or the new 50/50 (supposed to last longer)

vw concours, it to one of the nisest waxes regardless of price... I have always loved this wax and always will. Even with vintage and a few other zymols I seem to reach for the VW line often

would consider the hard candy, just never see it used. Frankly, supernatural is what i hear about 90% of the time, or purple haze. Considering the hard 4 panel pot. Banana armour, hard candy, blue velvet, and diamond white. Or just get some juiced. Where is vic concours available in the us, cant seem to find it? I would like to use lime prime light before the dodos, or vic deep cleanse (any good?) if i went with vics.

I personally really enjoy using Pinnacle Souveran, but with the durability of about 3-5 weeks, it might not be what you need.

I still enjoy using Pete's '53 a lot. Great wax and very very nice durability. Insane beading, too!

    Here a pic of it:

really? i got the impression petes was not durable at all? I see it in a lot of collections ,just never really mentioned or used. but then again there are a lot of underrated and underused products out there.

I guess it's what your definition of durable is. But I get a good 10 weeks out of it (weekly washes), which I think is quite durable for a wax. And at $37 a pot, the price isn't bad.

Victoria Concours (red). That's a new wax for me and I am really impressed by it. I should note that I don't do waxes that cost more than a house payment so the only other two waxes I have worth mentioning (in a thread like this) is Souveran, and DoDo SN. Unfortunately I just got the SN and haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Another affordable wax to consider is ClearKote's CMW, it really looks good on dark colors and you'd be hard pressed to find anything easier to use.

I would like to say one thing to you if I may... If I find a wax that I really like as far as shine and depth and the durability sucks. I really don't mind I'm chomping at the bit to do a minor detail after 6 or 8 weeks anyway. It's also one less thing to worry about and it works out just great.:thumb:

quite a recommendation! how does red compare to collectors (yellow)?

The yellow is also a great wax but the red has more gloss.
